CANOVAS, Manuel, Collection of Manuel Canovas, Monnaies de l'Antique, du Moyen-Age et de la Renaissance justqu'au XVIIIc siecle, as catalogued by Jean Vinchon, Auction Sale, Paris, 18 May 1994, 160 lots, all illustrated in colour, very scarce.

A collection, although small, contains ancient Greek, Roman Byzantine (total of 110 lots) and a section of mostly Medieval French etc. (50 lots). The collection is significant for the superb condition and rarity of the coins sold. An important sale of recent years.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
