AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Ephesus mint, issued from 25 B.C., (9.69 grams), obv. [C]AESAR to left, large bare head of Augustus to right, rev. AVGVSTVS in one line across field within a laurel wreath, (S.-, RIC 486, Ash. 710-2, RPC 2235 [p.381, Pl.99], Howego Class 2c, BMC 731). Off centred on the reverse, a very fine portrait, otherwise good fine/fine and rare.
