AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver cistophorus, Ephesus mint, issued c.25 B.C., (10.92 grams), obv. bare head of Augustus to right, below IMP CAE SAR, line border, rev. AVGVSTVS in field above garlanded altar, sculptured with two confronting hinds, linear border, (S.476, RIC 479, C.33, BMC 694). Fine / very good and rare.
