AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, moving with Octavian mint, issued 37 B.C., (3.62 grams), obv. Octavian head to right bearded, around [IMP] CAESAR DIVI F III VIR ITER R P C, rev. Simpulum, aspergillum, jug and lituus, border of dots, around COS ITER [ET TER DE]SIG, (S.451, Cr.538/1, C.91, Syd.1334, BMC Gaul 116). Slightly off-centre on obverse and reverse, otherwise very fine.
