EGYPT, Kingdom of, Cleopatra III and Ptolemy IX, (116-107 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.8 grams), Alexandria mint, issued year 10 = 108-7 B.C., obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis, with plain border, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left around **PTOLEMAIOU BASI[LEWS]*, to left LI, to right **PA*, (S.7922, SNG Cop. 356-7, Sv.1671). Edge porosity on the reverse, lightly toned, very fine and scarce.
