THRACE, Byzantion, (357-340 B.C.), silver tetrobol, (2.5 grams), obv. cow standing to left, foreleg raised, above **PU*, dolphin below, rev. quadripartite incuse square of mill-sail pattern, another similar Bithynia, Calchedon (c.400-350 B.C.), (2.45 grams), obv. bull to left on ear of corn, rev. as before, (S.1582, 3739, SNG BMC Black Sea 36-41 [Pl.II], 118-123 [Pl.V]). Second off centred, otherwise very fine. (2)

An interesting similar pair from two separate cities separated by the Bosphorus Strait (Asia and Europe), who obviously employed the same die cutters for their coinages.
