THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.7 grams), Byzantium mint, issued 190-110 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, on throne BY, to left in field monogram Z**W, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMACOU*, trident in exergue, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, Muller -). Attractive portrait, nearly extremely fine and excessively rare, apparently unpublished with this monogram.
