MACEDON, kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.40 grams), Babylon mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, wheel to left above monogram, monogram under throne, to left **FILIPPOU, below **[B]ASILEWS, (cf.S.6749, Price P189, BMC P189a-b, Demanhur 4609, M.P29). Surface porosity on the reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good fine.
