MACEDON, Kingdom of, Amyntas III (389-383, 381-369 B.C.), AE 15, (3.51 grams), obv. Heracles head to right in lion skin, rev. eagle standing right wings closed devouring serpent held in talons, above AMYNTA, (S.1512, BMC 17-22, Westermark [Kraay-Morkholm essays] p.312, No.1, Pl.LXX, 34). Green patina, attractve very fine, rare, with descriptive ticket.
