ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (350 -300 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.75 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, **QOURIW[N]* above, dotted exergue **X* above, tunny fish below exergue. (cf.S.447; SNG ANS 1059). Some edge porosity on the obverse, otherwise good fine/very fine and a rare variant.
