FIJI, one pound promissory note, No.232, issued at Levuka on the island of Ovalau, December 16th 1871, imprint of S.T. Leigh & Co., Sydney, signed by D. Levy and Son, uniface with front of vignettes of chiefs to upper left and right, crowned arms in centre, (P.5A 7th edn. [$5000 VF], Rodgers and Cantrell 'Paper Money of Fiji Vol. I', No.CR 12). Various folds and creases, otherwise good fine and very rare.

Noted in Pick Volume 7 with an example with a note numbered 78, but omitted in Volume 8, reported however on the evidence of Pick by K.A. Rodgers and Carol Cantrell from the Pick example
