MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (26.0 grams), obv. laureate bust of Maximinus to right, around MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. around PAX AVGVSTI, Pax standing half-left, holding branch and transverse sceptre, S C across field, (S.2353, RIC 81, C.38). Large generous flan, dark green patina, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
