EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.18 grams), Tyre mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, **D behind, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front club and monogram TYP, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (cf.S.7773, Sv. 644, SNG Cop 482). Dirt on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine.
