ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.8 grams), issued 147-6 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 115-4 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, to left bunch of grapes to right, E on amphora, legend across **A QE, to left MHT PO**DW ROS DH MOS QE, KAL LIF, ME* below, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 635c same dies, Sv.56,7 same dies). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.

The only other known specimen noted by Thompson is the example from the Delos hoard B.
