MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), AE 18, (5.9 grams), Miletus mint, issued c.323-319 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. above quiver and bow, **ALEXANDROU* between, club and monogram below, (cf.S.6739, Price 2110, BMC -, Thompson Miletus VI, 166-8). Black glossy patina, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
