THE ROYAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA, one pound, Sydney 184-, imprint 'W.H. Bruce Engraver and Printer, Trump Street, King Street, Cheapside', unissued note form (cf MVR fig 217 and Nicholson Sale lot 1601). Creases, minor centre hole and minor tears otherwise good fine and extremely rare. $$ This is a recently discovered example of these interesting notes with interest bearing details and a counterfoil margin on left hand side. It was issued by the Bank founded by Ben Boyd of whaling fame.
