PROMISSORY NOTE OF G.BLAXCELL, handwritten and dated July 13th 1812 for two hundred and fifty pounds sterling in good government bills, payable to Captain Joseph James on or before 24th September 1812. Accompanied by a printed form of a notice of protest, dated 16th August 1813 and signed by Ellis Bent, Judge Advocate of the Territory of New South Wales showing that Blaxcell had not paid his promissory note. Stained on right hand side, good fine and extremely rare.
