TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.8 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around TI CAESAR DIVI [AVG F AVGVSTVS], rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.567, RIC 30, BMC 48). Slightly off centred on the obverse and reverse, attractive toned, otherwise nearly extremely fine.

Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
