SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus III, (223-187 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.9 grams), Series II, Antioch mint, issued 213-208 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus III to right, plain border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS* and to left ANTIO XOY, to left U over P monogram, (cf.S.6934, Newell WSM 1071). Old tone, slightly off centre on reverse, otherwise good very fine/very fine, scarce.
