ELIZABETH II, proof crown, Coronation issue, 1953, V.I.P. sand blasted dies, (ESC.393J). FDC and extremely rare.

Ex. Patrick Deane privately, May 1981 and Inveruglas Collection (lot 4565), together with letters and photo, one from Seaby, London written by Frank Purvey (April 1981), and second by Graham Dyer (December 1998) of the Royal Mint. Both letters discuss the status of this coin.
