HENRY III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, NIC/OLE/ON C/ANT, Canterbury mint, (S.1363, N.987/1). Dark patina, large full flan, nearly extremely fine.
Ex. Slype find, (West Flanders, property of Baron Maleingreau D'Hembise) and Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket and illustrated in the supplementary plate 75 (row 8 no 5) and from Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with a Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
