Estimate $100
Bid at live.noble.com.au
SOLD $720

END OF SOUTH AFRICA WAR 1899-1900, in bronze (27mm), the first by J. Swan & Co, the second by W.R.B. (W.R. Bock) (M.1900/35; M.-). Good very fine - extremely fine. (2)

The first ex Ray Harwood in 1981, the second ex Bowker & Sirs (Wellington) in 1988. The Bock type not mentioned by Morel although it is possibly (M.1900/36). Sutherland states of the Swan type 'Issue not completed as war did not end, only 12 Struck'. This figure probably eroneous.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
