SHAMROCK LODGE OF MARK MASTER MASONS (DUNEDIN) IN COPPER (34MM) BY STOKES. Traces of mint red, good extremely fine and extremely rare.

Purchased from K. Mills in 1996. This Irish Branch Lodge was established in 1866 when presumably this token was issued to only a handful of members. The lodge was in abeyance from 1871 until it was reconstituted as No.468 Lodge of St. Patrick in 1881 (Ref. G. Barclay 'The Extinct Lodges of New Zealand'pp 56-62).
