GAUL, Massalia (as a Colony founded by the Phokaians), (200-150 B.C.), silver drachm, (2.776 grams), obv. head of Artemis to right, bow and quiver at shoulder, dotted border, rev. lion standing right, above **MASSA*, in exergue off flan **[LIHTWN]*, line border, (S.75, De La Tour 844, SNG Cop. 752-763, SNG Delepierre 65-80). Attractive gold and grey tone, off centred, otherwise extremely fine, scarce.
