MELBOURNE CENTENARY, Air Race, 1934, in gilt bronze (34mm) by Stokes (C.1934/5). This is one of only a few base metal specimens struck, the official presentation medal was in gold (see NAA Journal 4). Extremely fine, loop mount attached, very rare.
