DAY & MIEVILLE, Dunedin penny, 1857 (A.98; L.314). The first with old lacquer or oil treatment otherwise brown patina, the second (illus) with die break through right side of M in name, attractive dark brown patina, nearly extremely fine. (2)

The first from P & M Eccles in 1976,the second acquired in 1975.
