THRACE, Cherronesos, (400-350 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.082 grams), obv. forepart of lion looking back, rev. bee in one quarter, monogram VE and dot in opposite corner, (cf.S.1603, SNG Cop. 833). Nearly very fine.

An interesting bee symbol in the reverse field.
