JUSTINIAN I, (527-565), gold solidus, issue of 552-565, Constantinople mint, (4.288 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding cross on globe, around DN IVSTINI ANVS PP AVI, rev. Angel standing facing holding long cross with chi-rho at top end, and cross on globe, around VICTORI A AVCCCE, in exergue CONOB, star in right field, (S.140, DOC 9e). Full flan, well centred but weak in places, Very fine.
