KATANGA, ten francs (1st December 1960), partly completed trial printing or essay by Waterlow and Sons, London. As Pick 5A but the front of the note only has the underprint (showing the tint and the Katanganese flag). The overprint with the portrait, design, legend, date and serial numbers are missing. Uncirculated.

The ten francs was never issued. Pick lists a remainder (P.11r) without serial numbers or date at US$500.
