DE BROSSET, C.P., Proceedings in Parga and the Ionian Islands, Obol, Chicago reprint 1976 or original 1819 edition, 198 + xv pp. Hard bound as new.

This is the account by Lt. Colonel De Brosset of the British army published as a defence of his actions of ceding the fort of Parga to the Ottoman Empire. This book establishes his innocence but gives to us an historical account of the little known contemporary history of Epirus and the Ionian Islands.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
