ROMAN SESTERTII, Trajan, (A.D.117-138), Rome mint, issued 114-117, obv. laureate bust of Trajan to right, rev. Trajan seated to right on platform placed on left, accompanied by two officers, addressing five soldiers, in exergue [I]MPERATOR VII[I] over S C, (S.-, RIC 655, C.176); Faustina Junior, Rome mint, (23.80 grams), issued after A.D. 161, rev. Hilaritas standing to left, with long palm and cornucopiae, (S.1511, RIC 1642); Severus Alexander, issued A.D. 222-231, rev. Mars walking to right, carrying spear and trophy, (cf.S.2256, RIC 472); another rev. Spes walking left, (S.2268, RIC 648); Herennia Etruscilla, wife of Trajan Decius, (A.D. 249-251), rev. Pudicitia seated left, (S.2734, RIC 136b). First poor/good and very rare; others nearly fine - very fine. (5)
