SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 201-210, (3.305 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around INDVLGENTIA AVGG, in exergue IN CARTH, Dea Caelestis, facing, seated on lion, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, lion springing to right, (S.1756, RIC 266, RSC 222). Good very fine.
