SABINA JUNIOR, wife of Hadrian, (died A.D.136-7), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.245 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Sabina, with hair knotted at back of head, around SABINA AVGVSTA, rev. [VE]NERI GENETRIC[I] around, Venus standing to right, holding apple and drawing a fold of drapery from left shoulder, (S.1189 [£50], RIC 396, RSC 73). Dark tone, flaw on obverse edge, otherwise fine - very fine, scarce.
