ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.215-205 B.C.), silver quarter shekel or hemidrachm, (1.896 grams), Italian mint, obv. head of Tanit to left, wreathed with corn, wearing necklace, Punic letters behind, line border, rev. horse standing to right, dot below horse, line border, (cf.S.6499, SNG Cop. 337, M.91, Visona 42). Attractive dark tone nearly extremely fine and rare.
