SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus I, (280-261 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.665 grams), Series II group A, Bactra mint, issued 268-261 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEOS and to left **[A]NTIOXO[U], to left under arm a monogram of **L[T] within circle, (Newell ESM 705, SNG Israel I (Spaer) 327-8, ACNAC Houghton 1289). Dumpy flan, all known examples generally worn, nearly very fine/fine, very rare.
