GREAT BRITAIN, Ten Commandments box (c.mid-late 19th century) of iron with rough dark patina, probably of German manufacture for English market, obv. lid Christ crucified, rev. base of Christ risen from the grave, with inserts in lead ten commandments script (30mm), the Lord's Prayer (25mm), the Creed (30mm). Unrecorded in either Cribb Collection of Religious medals in the British Museum or in Rogers, very fine, medals better and extremely rare. (4)
