LEMPRIERE & COMPANY, Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land, currency note two Spanish dollars, 5th July 1823 (182 printed) No.C 12, hand signed by Thomas James Lempriere, entered by initials, on printed form red-brown on white unwatermarked paper, imprint Engraved by S.Clayton Sydney, 'Exhibited / ET' written across. Frayed at edges and large pieces missing upper frame, and lower left hand side, otherwise poor-fair and rare.
