GEORGE V, 1931, Indian obverse die with dropped one reverse. With minor rim nick otherwise good fine and extremely rare and with its original envelope.

This is the discovery piece in its original envelope. Our consignee, Mr. George Falcke of USA lived in Australia in the 1960's and a group consisting of George, Mark Freehill and the late Merv Weyton met regularly to study Australian Commonwealth coin die varieties and discovered this piece the 1931 dropped 1, Indian die in November 1963. A similar example in our sale 65 (lot 1691, realised $1450).
