Knobloch Collection of Roman Imperial Coins, (Part I), a Stack's Public Auction Sale, May 1-3, 1980, 4 colour plates, 36 plates, 1438 lots, illustrated throughout, 222pp., almost all lots illustrated with estimate and some prices entered in; another Part II Late Roman & Byzantine Coins, Stack's Public Auction Sale May 5, 1984, lots 1201-1879, 5 plates, 108 pp., illustrated thoughout, both with colour printed card covers. Fine and scarce. (2)

The lot includes Tony Goodwin's article as an offprint on 'Barbarous copies of the 3rd and 4th centuries' (published in The Celator April 93). This sale was of a very important collection of Roman and Byzantine coins. These sales were the important Roman-Byzantine sales in the U.S.A. in the early 1980's.
