CRUSADER COINAGE, Imitative Issues, in the name of Al-Salih Isma'il, (1237-1246), silver dirhems (3), (1.71 [Bates type 1], 1.89 and 2.13 grams [both Bates type 5]), Damascus mint type, Islamic inscription in square frame, pellets around, (Balag-Yvonne 36-7, 38 [2], Metcalf - and 233-235 [2], Mal.3, 9 [2]). Fine - very fine and all very scarce. (3)
Ex Mathew Rich Collection, the first coin sold Alex Malloy list 32, (No.972), October 1991, the second coin from Alex Malloy list 39 (No.1110), December 1994; the last example from Alex Malloy list 28 (No.866), September 1989, and all listed with CNG Sale 53, March 2000, (lot 2038, US$400).
