Order of the British Empire (MBE) - second type - member's military breast badge (1946); 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Defence Medal; British War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal; Coronation Medal 1953; War Medal 1940-41 (Greece). NX34756 N.H. Rose. Court mounted for display. Last two medals unnamed others impressed. Good very fine. $ MBE: L.G. 21 February 1946 - 'in recognition of gallant and distinguished services as a prisoner of war.' Captain Norman Henry Rose. Born Dubbo NSW 12 November 1912. Educated Fort Street Boys' High School and Sydney University. Graduated MB. BS. 1935. Entered A.I.F. as a Captain AAMC 17 June 1940. Taken P.O.W. Greece 20 May 1941 discharged 31 December 1945. Later, Medical Superintendent Sydney Hospital. Died in New York 30 August 1967.
