SICILY, Syracuse, (c.485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.434 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPA KO S I O N* around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.913, Boehringer 146 same dies [obverse 65/reverse 100 dies], Jameson Collection (No.1908 same dies]). Well centred, bright, good very fine/very fine with excellent metal, a very rare die combination.

Boehringer notes only 3 specimens from these dies.
