SICILY, Gela, (c.490-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.24 grams), obv. naked horseman to right wearing crested helmet, galloping right brandishing spear held high in his hand, rev. man headed bull to right with long beard, below traces **GELAS, (S.713, Jenkins 59, obv. 18, rev. 24 [same dies, notes 13 examples known of these dies], SNG ANS 10 [same dies], SNG Cop 257-8 [similar dies]). Off centred obverse, nearly fine/good fine and a scarce die combination.
