ITALY, Bruttium, Rhegium, (350-270 B.C.), AE 18, (4.272 grams), obv. lion's scalp facing, rev. laureate head of Apollo to right with long hair, behind a caduceus, (S.684; Boutin, Pozzi Collection, 840 [this coin]; BMC 62-3). Attractive green patina, very fine, rare.

Ex Malloy (Virzi Collection), Sale 17, 1 December 1980 (lot 132, est $350US) and Pozzi Collection (silver and gold sold Ars Classica sale No.1 14th March 1921), the copper listed and described by Serge Boutin in his edition of the Pozzi collection (Maastricht, 1979) and Noble Numismatics Sale 60 (lot 1765).
