THRACE, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (c.early 5th century B.C.), silver stater, (8.148 grams), obv. naked ithyphallic Satyr (classical style) in kneeling running attitude carrying off nymph raising facing hand in protest, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (S.1746 [£425], Asyut Hoard -, BMC 24, SNG Cop. 1010). Nearly very fine with good facial, clear phallus and hand detail, very scarce.
