THRACE, Pautalia, Caracalla, (A.D. 193-217), AE 28, (18.102 grams), obv. Laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Caracalla, around AVT K M AVPH ANT**W*NEINOC, rev. eagle facing with outspread wings head to left holding a wreath, standing on a thunderbolt, around **OV**LPIA*C **PAUTALIA*C, (S.-, BMC -, cf.SNG Cop.711, Ruzicka 672 [p.166]). With attractive dark surface patina, very fine and rare.
