THRACE, (Moesia Inferior), Nicopolis ad Istrum, Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), AE 18, (2.69 grams), obv. laureate head of Severus to right, around AV K **L* C CEVHPOC, rev. snake in attack mode head to left, **NIKOPOLIT P*OC ICTP, (S.-, Pick 1418 [p.385]). Even dark brown tone, weak in places, very fine and rare.
