MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.364 grams), Amphipolis IIB mint, issued c. 342/1-329/8 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, bee below, and prow below right, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.42, obv. D231 and rev.R- [new die], [p.116]). Cut in edge, test gash on reverse, otherwise round good fine and rare.
