SICILY, Gela, (c.490-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.136 grams), obv. naked horseman to right wearing crested helmet, galloping right brandishing spear held high in his hand, rev. man headed bull to right with long beard, around and below traces **GELAS, (S.713, Jenkins 28, obv. 9, rev. 11 [same dies, notes 13 examples known of these dies], cf.SNG ANS 5 [similar dies], Hunter 10 [same dies], SNG Tubingen 578 [same dies]). Off centred obverse, nearly fine/good fine and a scarce die combination.
