MADRAS PRESIDENCY, British Style Coinage system, gold mohur or ashrafi, issued 1819, struck at Madras mint, (11.642 grams), obv. EIC arms with suporters, around ENGLISH EAST INDIA COMPANY, rev. in Persian 'Ashrafi (or Mohur) of the Honourable English Company', (Pr. 241, KM. 421). Good extremely fine and very scarce in this condition.

The number issued was 1,117,800.
